Viscosity Grade VG-10
A lower-viscosity paving bitumen graded by viscosity at 60°C and 135°C, suitable for applications that require easier pumping, spraying and…
View Details
A higher-viscosity paving binder designed for demanding hot-mix asphalt and road applications where VG-30 is specified by the project authority.
URMEX viscosity-grade range: VG-10 and VG-30. VG-30 is the higher-viscosity option in the current range.

Specification limits are editable and should be aligned with the buyer’s purchase specification and the shipment Certificate of Analysis.
Under IS 73:2013, VG-30 has an absolute viscosity of 2,400–3,600 Poise at 60°C and minimum kinematic viscosity of 350 cSt at 135°C.
VG-30 is commonly specified for hot-mix asphalt, dense-graded asphalt and road pavement layers requiring a higher-viscosity binder.
VG-30 is an IS 73 viscosity grade. ASTM has separate viscosity and performance grading systems, so direct equivalence should not be assumed without a project-specific specification.
