Product Information
Blown / Oxidized Bitumen 90/15 is produced by controlled air oxidation of a suitable bituminous feedstock. The process raises softening point and lowers penetration, creating a harder material with reduced temperature sensitivity compared with conventional paving bitumen.
The 90/15 designation is a commercial grade name centered around an approximately 90°C softening point and 15 dmm penetration target. The practical acceptance range is normally specified around those nominal values. This grade is used in industrial formulations where heat resistance, adhesion and waterproofing performance are important.

Oxidized-bitumen grades are commonly identified by the midpoints of their softening-point and penetration ranges. Unlike a paving penetration grade, 90/15 is generally sold against a commercial/contract specification. Packaging & Supply
Oxidized bitumen is commonly supplied in meltable/poly bags, kraft bags, cartons or steel drums, depending on grade, climate and customer handling system. Exact package type and net weight should be confirmed before shipment.
Handling & Storage
Oxidized bitumen is solid at ambient temperature and requires controlled heating for use. Heat slowly and uniformly, avoid localized overheating, keep water away from hot material and use suitable thermal PPE and ventilation.
