Penetration Bitumen 60/70 is a petroleum asphalt binder graded by needle penetration at 25°C. Its 60–70 dmm penetration range places it between harder 40/50 and softer 80/100 commercial grades, giving a practical balance of stiffness, workability and temperature response for conventional paving applications.
The product is commonly selected for asphalt concrete, dense-graded hot-mix asphalt, base courses, binder courses and wearing courses where the project specification calls for a 60/70 penetration binder. For international supply, the governing purchase specification, approved test methods and batch Certificate of Analysis should always take precedence over generic marketing data.
